Jewelled Nails

I've seen some pretty wild looking nails before but never to this extreme:

What's the craziest thing you have tried on your nails?

i thought i was pushing the envelope by trying out pieces of lace on my nails, until i saw these crazy fingers! i mean sure they're pretty to look at but i don't even want to know how they manage to go to the restroom with all that bling on there! >.<

That was my exact thought when I saw these! I have enough trouble not chipping my nail colour when I rummage through my purse.

oh my on Jan 12, 2011 @ 03:24 pm

As soon as I get about 1/8 th of an inch of white showing at the end of my nail I have to trim them! I am a girl whose life revolves around practicality so there is no way I could survive w/ my nails adorned in bunnies and bows! Typing alone would be a freakish nightmare! Ack!

All I can think is they remind me of those little finger puppets for kids.

The wildest thing I ever tried with nails was painting them with acrylic paint with some really crazy designs like clouds, rainbows, and sunsets. The design would usually only last flawlessly for a day or two but it was fun to paint them.

Never in a million years will you spot me with jewelry on my nails! I agree with Spotty, it's all about practicality. My nails don't grow very long to begin with, but on the rare occasion that they grow without breaking, they get in my way so much I have to chop them back.

Those big bows are nuts!

I have done this.... on Jan 12, 2011 @ 04:24 pm

When I used to wear artificial nails, I actually bought a 14k gold charm and drilled a hole in the corner of it and had the charm placed there. It was very en vogue at the time!

Real Gold?! on Jan 12, 2011 @ 04:27 pm

@Meredithk that sounds like a lot of work for stylish nails, which finger was it on? The thumb?

yes....14k on Jan 12, 2011 @ 10:43 pm

Yes, it was a dangling heart...it looks like an earring, it had a screw on backing to it. I paid $60.00 for it at the time....I had artificial tips and it was on my thumb....on the side.

Too much effort on Jan 13, 2011 @ 11:11 am

I'm practical with my nails too. I like clean, short nails with either no polish or a neutral or bold colour. I do like half moon and french manicures but anything involving long nails grosses me out. Think of what is lurking under those long nails! Aside from that I'd want to pull them off just to get them out of the way.

fake nails on Jan 27, 2011 @ 02:28 pm

I got fake nails for my cousin's wedding when I was 13 and I haven't gotten them since. I couldn't pick up anything on flat surfaces, like coins. I don't know how women can wear long nails all the time, let alone when they are so long they CURVE or big bows and jewels!
