Jewellery Preferences

What type of jewellery do you prefer to wear/purchase? Dainty and minimalist or flashy and bold? Do you love layering pieces? Bohemian style?

How much would you be willing to spend on jewellery if purchasing for yourself, a family member or a friend?

Any styles you would avoid like the plague?

Just thought this would be a fun thread to start...

It depends on the outfit.

Yes that's true, but is there a certain style you usually gravitate towards?

For instance, I usually like wearing gold or silver toned jewellery as well as stud earrings on a day to day basis. Pandora bracelets and charms are beautiful and fashion forward. I also love Swarovski crystal bracelets and pendant necklaces. I'm not into the seed beaded jewellery with intricate designs. Something about the way they look doesn't appeal to my taste. I guess I could categorize myself as having more of a simple style, but when I do wear a bold piece, it doesn't include lots of flashy colors.

Do you like the quality of the jewellery you've found on those websites?

I like to wear statement necklaces(shaped like flowers, bow ties or a diamond shape and a thick chain necklace here and there) with a solid color top and bangles(any color except yellow). The jewlery i wear can be bold(color wise) but not too big and chunky (don't want it to overwhelm )I wear anklets around the spring and summer especially with shoes like Keds and flats.
As for spending, I would probably go up to $50-60.
I don't shop online so I typically get them at Pagoda Piercing(first/best choice as they have combinations of real gold and silver and more), H&M;, JCPenney and Charlotte Russe

very much so. I look at the expensive sites and see what I like and go to my site and find it there at a much cheaper price. a 130.00C ring for 8.00C was one of my buys. 10k black gold filled pink sapphire.

@izzipersonified Statement necklaces are very in right now, so I can see why you like them. You seem to have specific style which is young and hip. Thanks for your feedback!

Bargain on Mar 04, 2015 @ 11:06 pm

@darlin1 Wow! That's what I call a good bargain!! I really need to take a look at the websites you mentioned. Although, when I really like a piece and it's made with quality material, I don't mind splurging now and then... Thanks for replying!
