Ok Sisters, I caved.  I now own Uggs.  Love 'em? Hate 'em?

Call me a purist or a fashion hillbilly or whatever you want: I just cannot *heart* Uggs. I refuse to conceive of a situation where Jimmy Choo and Uggs share literary real estate. To me, Jimmy Choos are supposed to be graceful swans, not clumping wildebeests.

Perhaps these look a great deal better in person. And I will give Ali all the credit in the world for taking a chance on a fashion she previously avoided like the Bubonic plague ;)

These lovely articles of footwear are a "nay" in my book.

I personally love them... They look super comfy and snuggly and just plain warm! Then again I tend to gravitate towards comfort wear instead of sexy stilettos :-)

"UGGly" on Nov 23, 2010 @ 04:00 pm

is what my friends used to call them. I was considering buying them for a while. I've tried a pair on before and they are indeed super comfortable and warm! Yours are super special and cute though, Ali!

I don't know, i'm still debating whether or not I want a pair, but if I'm gonna spend that much money, I'd rather spend it on something more tailored :)

I'm not a big Ugg fan in general. Sure, they're practical, but I feel like they make feet look like giant marshmallows. I don't mind them in black though, and I really love these Jimmy Choo Uggs! I think it's the tassel fringing that won me over.

I own a plain pair of Uggs and I love them because they are so warm! Yes, they are very chunky and not the most attractive pair of shoes invented but I still like them!

The Jimmy Choo ones are fun!

Reactions so far on Nov 24, 2010 @ 11:17 am

So I wore my Chuggs (choos/uggs) about town yesterday and two things happened:

At the streetcar stop, a girl came up to be, pointed at the boots and asked (voice slightly trembling in awe/desire)

"Are those... are they? O.M.G"

Me: (smugly) Why yes they are! Jimmy Choo Uggs in the flesh!

Girl in Awe: "I just read about those and have been dying to get a pair but it's almost a month's paycheque."

Me: (trying to look glamorous/mysterious) "Yes, well it's part of my job Do you want to touch them?"

Then later that night I went to a Scotch tasting where I bumped into Toronto Fashion Blogger Anita Clarke (aka Geekigirl). She looked at them disdainfully then then tweeted:

I saw my first jimmy choo x Uggs in the flesh and it wasn't pretty. Sorry @AlideBold. Thank god you didn't buy them

Not a fan of UGGs in any shape or form. And get this, recently I found out that they are actually bad for your feet as they provide no support whatsoever. Here's the whole article:

Interesting! on Nov 24, 2010 @ 12:38 pm

Thanks for the link, thetats. That goes for any type of footwear that doesn't have arch support. I have to say though at the office I feel like I'm wearing slippers all day, which is pretty glorious!

Yeah, it's true. Anything that doesn't have arch support is bad for your feet.

To be honest, NONE of my footwear, other than my runners, have any support at all. I decided to go jogging a few weeks ago (which calls for celebration and a pat on the back), and the minute I put on my runners and took a step, I could've sworn that I was in feet heaven.
