I'm looking for a really good winter jacket. I work in a daycare and I have to walk and pick up my students from school and I'm sure this winter is going to be the coldest of all. I'm looking for a jacket that's really warm with a hood and that's about thigh length. Any suggestions? Oh I'm looking to spend around $100. I would love a grey goose coat and what not but I really can't afford that price range.

Ya... A grey Goose will cost you about $1,000 if you want a long one. If you want the warmth and quality associated with something like GG you'll have to spend more.
There's really not much designer wise you can get for $100. You can check out Ccolombia factories? You need a pass which you can usualyl get from your social circle, but that's the cheapest way you'll get a warm, quality coat.
Try Winner's. I thinkt hat's the only place I've seen a coat fdor under $100

Ok thanks you all. The jacket doesn't have to be a designer brand. I just want a warm decent jacket.

Don't forget to check consignment stores too. This winter I brought a bunch of coats in to my local shop, including a North Face down parka (super warm). I'd basically recommend anything you can find with the down lining.

I recently purchased a long winter jacket at Suzy Shier and I was really surprised at how warm it is, it's also very nice looking. It was normally $100.00 but I got it for about $70.00 because of a promotion they had on. They currently have a 30-50% discount on their outwear if you are interested.

Black Friday may be a great chance to get a deal.
I hive a Suki, which I got at 50% off 2 years ago...it was $560, I paid $280 and am thrilled with it. The reason I am mentioning it is, like some of the ladies suggested, you can get some great deals at thrift stores...I saw a Suki at value Village a few weeks back. I highly recommend the brand for warmth.
I've also heard that the Sears version of Canada Gosse is very good.

Thanks ladies I appreciate the feedback. I didn't think of Suzy shier so I might have that a try. @wendyroy I was honestly thinking to check out value village just to take a look and see if anything gets my attention. But I will look into the sears version. I just need something warm because they walk to get the kids can be so brutal at times.

My favourite place to start is always Value Village, you can score some great deals there if you don't mind buying second hand. Next, I would try Marks, their quality is much better than anything from WalMart but not too expensive, I got my 3-in-1 winter coat there on a good sale price. They might have good sales this weekend.

The Bay has great one day sales this time of year. Yesterday I got a $388 down/feather filled one for $99.
