I still have around 9 to 10 years to go. But I only work part time now. Good for you and your husband that is what life is about spending time with family and close friends not money. Enjoy your retirement you deserve it.

Sometimes it feels like I will never get to retire! I still have 12 years until my early retirement. I have been working for 20 years now... I can't wait.

My dad is enjoying it a lot but be finds it hard to keep busy especially since he is alone since my mom passed away. You need to have hobbies or else you will go crazy.

Retired a little bit earlier than I had planned but it was the best decision I ever made. I have worked here and there - love the fact that I can choose if I work or not, when, for how long and for who. It gives you the chance to explore some things and also get out and about.
Found I live at a different pace and I've filled it with all sorts of experiences and contrary to popular belief, it's cheaper in some ways. Make sure you have all your ducks in a row for your medical benefits before you retire.

I have just over 3 yrs to go but haven't worked since April I had a torn rotator cuff and had surgery in October waiting to see how this turns out. I'm looking forward to getting on without Physio exercises every day and being normal again.
Enjoy your retirement can't wait for mine!
