Call me a fashion-backward nitwit but every time I see someone talking about "How to wear a romper" in a positive way, it makes me wonder: Really? Really really?
Now be honest everybody. Desire to be trendy aside, do any of you actually like the romper?

And I don't think I'll wear one again. But I could be persuaded if it was cute enough.

like Ali, I haven't worn a romper since I was 6 years old-it was yellow and terrycloth (don't even try to visualize it-I swear I will look for a photo).
I agree with you missjudy, it's just not going to work (for me).

I think they look comfy as lounge wear on hot summer days, but definitely not for a night out for me.
|I have one and I love it on Apr 26, 2011 @ 12:13 am|
Okay, okay, I might get some eyebrow raises, but I can't see those through the computer so I am gonna just go ahead and put this out there - I have a romper and I love it. I like shorts. I like shirts. I like elastic waistbands. So I like my romper. It's comfy, and I don't have to think when I put it on. It's baggy in places I like my clothes to be baggy. I have no complaints.
I'm letting my romper flag fly and I don't care if you all think I am a freak!

I think like any other trend, it totally depends on the person that it's on. Someone like me, it would not work! On a casual summer day or at the beach and the right body type, I think it can be super cute, fun and laid back.

Last time I wore a romper was in the late 80's as a maternity outfit in the heat of summer!

I agree with most of you, that on the right body type and in the right style this could be a very cute look. However, as an ex-romper wearer myself back in the day (let's just say it was a while back!), I can't imagine wearing one myself. One thing I find so very impractical is how to use the bathroom, especially in a public restroom!

I like the ones that are flowy and look like dresses.
But one issue I do have is that they often seem to be VERY short. Anyone else notice this? Just because there isn't the added worry of blowing in the wind doesn't mean my butt cheeks have to be visible when I bend down.

I actually really want one.
I was in love with this one: http://chic.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pCHIC1-9516937v275.jpg
But then decided it was too pricey for something I couldn't try on first. Also I'm a little afraid people would make fun of me wearing it and that it'll be too clingy and show my bum too well. I'm hoping they'll become a little more mainstream in my city and I'll feel more confident getting one.

Since I'm quite the short lady, I LOVE rompers. They make my legs look super long! Especially when I wear booties...depending on my "look" for the day, I can make myself look really old, so very young!
