I have a number of weddings to attend starting next weekend. There is some debate over the dress lengths. All but one wedding is late afternoon ceremony and evening reception. I've ruled out shorter above knee cocktail dresses and going for tea length or longer for the daytime...or can I go tastefully shorter?

just dont go micro mini and you'll be fine!

There are so many variables, is the wedding a big formal affair, time of day etc. Formal evening weddings, longer dresses are nice but a fancy knee lenth is acceptable. Afternoon formal weddings, a shorter dress is great. Casual weddings almost anything goes as long as it is in taste and not too sexy (Oh! and I almost forgot, do not wear the same color as the bride, a white foloral print is OK but not a straight white dress or suit,

To be on the safe side, I would lean to a longer skirt or dress. You do not want to show off too much leg in the wedding pictures or you will regret it years later.

Tea length for daytime, cocktail for the night. Keep it proper and respectful to the happy couple

Nothing to worry about. Just make the dresses classy. Simple.
