In our staff pose off, 'beach' edition, I had with me, a big beach bag from La Vie En Rose. It's definitely a good bag. It's big, colourful and chic but not over the top. It's basic and goes with a ton of stuff. Here is the pose off:

I recommend looking for a waterproof or fast drying bag for sure though and one that is big and can be easily cleaned.
Nothing worse than a sandy bag!
|I don't have a usual beach bag, but... on Jul 05, 2012 @ 01:09 pm|
I don't really like the typical canvas beach tote because they are either too nice to risk ruining with salty water/sand/etc or they're too cheap and quickly lose their form and then why don't I just use a regular reusable shopping bag (as I tend to do anyway)?
I'm on the lookout for a loose weave straw tote so that if sand gets in my bag it can fall right back out. I really like the looks of this one from Target minus the pompoms:
The only thing I don't love is that it's fully lined and that wouldn't allow the extra sand to fall back out. Ideally it should have a lined interior pouch for my keys, wallet, gum, whatever and the rest should be the open weave. Or maybe I'm just crazy...
