Last night was the the final night of NKOTBSB (for those not in the know that's New Kids on the Block/Backstreet Boys) in Toronto. I shelled out my $45 for nosebleed seats to see my favourite band from my childhood and was not disappointed. I never got to see them when growing up, so I'm reliving my childhood now. When they played Larger than Life I screamed like I was all of nine-years-old again. And so did the other 20,000 women, teens like me and a few Moms from another generation there to see the New Kids. They've still got the same boy band dance moves, and they've still got the boy band charm. Old and young alike waited by the tour buses waiting to catch a glimpse of their favourite band member. The line to the after party, which I admit when I was nine I would never have known or cared about, was around the block.
So I'm wondering, what other bands from your youth would you love to see in concert again?
Oh and here's a Youtube playlist of 68 Backstreet Boys songs, because that's all I'll be listening to for the next few days.
