I found this adorable Valentine's Day gift idea on one of our member's blogs and I thought I would share it.
It's an unravelling message stamped on a wide ribbon that rolls out of a box. I think it's very romantic, but it could also work as a sweet girlfriend gift or birthday message.
I love Do-It-Yourself stuff because I think the effort you put into a gift really speaks volumes to the person you are giving it to. If anybody has any other original DIY gifts send 'em on over!
Check it out!

I love being the once to receive DIY gifts but I'm usually far too lazy to make them myself.
Although for my Dad's last birthday, I recreated a shirt that I made for him when I was 6 years old. The original t-shirt is a picture of him and me (stick figures) and it says "I Love My Dad", written backwards. He still wears it around the house and insists that it's one of his "good" shirts, but the picture is super faded and there are a couple little holes in the material. So I thought it would be funny to give him an updated version for his bday. I drew the picture and brought it into Blacks to make the t-shirt -- it was kind of embarrassing when the employee saw the design but was well worth it because my Dad thought it was a hoot. And he wears it at home all the time so it was well worth the effort.

I totally agree, I also love do-it yourself gifts because the effort speaks volumes. I think making your dad tshirts is suuuuuuuuch a sweet idea!!
I made my mom a "bouquet of flowers" (used paper, colouring pencils, black garbage bag, glue, sissors, etc.) about 10years ago, and she STILL has it hung on her wall, as her most favourite gift.
