Number 5 "You could say it was the custom official's version of Jack-in-the-Box.
As Robert Cusack was being searched at the L.A. airport after a flight
from Indonesia, a bird of paradise flew out of his bag, startling the
agents and passengers alike. It would be one of four birds of paradise
smuggled in Cusack's bag, in addition to two pygmy monkeys stuffed in
his underwear and containers carrying 50 protected wild orchids. His
travelling companion would also be found carrying two baby Asian
leopards in his backpack. Were they trying to recolonize a little
island? Start a private zoo? Not sure. But cubs in a backpack and
pygmies in the skivvies? Some might call such smuggling attempts
Monkeys stuffed in underwear!? why would you want animals with teeth anywhere near that area!? *shudder*
The rest of the list is atrocious too, but I just can't wrap my head around the underwear thing...

I knowww!! That's exactly what I thought when I read the article as well! I mean, I am a HUGE animal lover, and I always say 'I wish I could take them home with me' but I would never ACTUALLY do it...but these people apparently acted on their thoughts... lol
And stuffing a little animal in your drawers? Dangerous for you, and disgusting for the poor animal!
