Have any of you read The Picture Of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde?
I just wrote a review on it [on Chickadvisor] and found that I was the first one. I was a bit surprised, and then realized that I wanted to start a forum on the book. Who's read it and what were your thoughts?
I completely enjoyed this read. It took me places I would never have dreamt of, and I was able to see so many points of views and perspectives in such a raw and tainted manner. Did you like the book as much as I did/do?

I haven't read it but some friends of mine have and they said it's a great book

I have read it, though it was many many years ago. I know I enjoyed it, but I don't remember a whole lot about it. Will probably read it again one day.

How funny! I read it this month! But I have to admit I read it in play form - so that is an abridged version of the original. It skipped over some of the plot of the hunting party and the whole revenge aspect. I don't know why, but this story has always given me the a deep chill. It's like looking into the heart of darkness (another book that gives me that chill)
Started out wanting to read Lady Windemere's Fan by Wilde (an old fave of mine) and ended up also reading A Woman of No Importance (first time) and Dorian Grey.
