Have you ever thought of what it would be like to have your home under ground? The thought of it really freaks me out, actually. However, I stumbledupon these photos of peculiar and amazing looking underground homes. Check them out here. on jetsetta.com.

When I first read your post I thought, no way! I hate the idea of being underground. Actually I live in a basement room right now, I have one teeny tiny window (and it's covered) so it's kind of depressing not to have any natural light. I wouldn't want my whole house to feel like that.
After looking at some of the pictures though, I wouldn't mind living in some of them. They're pretty creative and a few look like that they huge windows. So, in that case I would totally give it a shot!

I am the same way... I love big windows in a home. Natural light really makes you feel alive. The idea of living underground is beyond a nightmare for me... but I agree with you...some of these homes look pretty cool! I would definitely live in one of the ones with bigger windows

I first heard about these during my university studies. In most climates, this style of home has a much smaller eco impact and is definitely eyecatching. You can have plenty of skylights, but I suppose that also means you have to keep up with the outdoor cleanup! Should be a cinch though, since instead of using a ladder to teeter around on a steep roof you can just walk up the hill.
I would definitely live in one of these homes.

The pictures look amazing! When I first read the post I thought that isn't that just like living in the basement? But the way they design the houses are incredible. It's scary too because in one picture the house is underneath a bridge looking thing so I guess I'll be paranoid of it collapsing.
