What are you doing for the royal wedding??

Okay I have to ask, are you watching the royal wedding and are you doing anything special?

My mother is having a tea party on Sunday and invited all the neighbours.  She's taping the wedding to have it replaying in the background during the party.  Should be cute!

I'm totally planning to wake up early and catch a bit of the beginning before heading to work, but I'm sure there will be MANY replays!

No Way I can on Apr 27, 2011 @ 07:51 pm

stay up that late (or get up that early!) for the actual event. CBC plans coverage starting @ 2 AM Eastern and Im Pacific :(
So I will have to tape it and watch it at a more reasonable hour.

Heck yes! on Apr 28, 2011 @ 12:55 pm

I was going to post this as a discussion but you beat me to it :)

I have 2 girl friends coming over tonight and we are going to sleep in the basement where our home theatre is set up! And by sleep, I mean we will probably just pull an all-nighter and watch the countdown, pre-shows and all that fun stuff before the wedding starts. Then we plan to have scones and tea for breakfast!

I am so cool.

that sounds amazing! on Apr 28, 2011 @ 01:25 pm

I have to work (except, by gosh, I think I feel a headache coming on a few hours from now... and a cough... maybe I should call in sick ;)

I don't care about the pre-wedding stuff at all, so I want to try to find out when the actual stuff begins and will most likely get up early to watch that. I foresee many "coffee breaks" when I might have to quickly check in to see if anything interesting is happening.

My daughter will be at school and she's mighty peeved to be missing out, but as you say, I'm sure there will be reruns ad nauseum.

@beachbabe that sounds super fun! I'm sure I would have done something like that if I wasn't working tomorrow.

Well.... on Apr 28, 2011 @ 01:45 pm

Technically, I am supposed to work tomorrow. BUT I am at home today because my husband so kindly passed his cold on to me. I probably shouldn't have a sleepover, but this is a special occasion! So I think I may be calling in sick tomorrow as well since I doubt I'll be feeling any better!

TLC is having a countdown starting at 9/8c. I am quite excited! But I'm still trying to figure out what station to watch the actual ceremony inside Westminster Abbey. Anybody know? Other than BBC. I don't think I have that channel.

I want to know too! on Apr 28, 2011 @ 03:47 pm

I have been trying to find out, but can't find any information! I imagine the recaps and reruns will have it all, but I don't know how much luck I'll have watching it live...

Probably all of them on Apr 28, 2011 @ 04:57 pm

I'd be surprised if any of the major channels don't cover the wedding.

all the networks ARE covering on Apr 28, 2011 @ 05:22 pm

All the networks are in fact covering the wedding. What I can't find out is which will be broadcasting live from inside Westminster Abbey, although I'd be really surprised if they don't share a feed even if they can't have their personnel in the cathedral.
