And you thought your haircare routine was a hassle...
Asha Mandela, 50, of Atlanta, Ga., has the world's longest dreadlocks which measure up to 55-feet-long and weigh 39 pounds.
Asha said she would never cut her hair and that it become a part of her. Even though it seems the 39 pounds of hair have also affected her spine. "The doctors seem to think I have a curvature of my spine and that it's the length and the weight of my hair that's making me curve,” she said. "Some have said my neck has collapsed at the back and that I need to be careful because I could start having spasms in my spine and probably be paralyzed." (via ibtimes.com)
I can't imagine having this crazy hair. Must be a HUGE hassle, no?
What do you think of this story?

This is just too much, I thought my shoulder length hair is a chore -_-

Personally, I've never been a fan of dread locks. So this is just a bit too much for me.

I've always wondered about dreadlocks... I've heard some pretty nasty stories about bugs that reside in matted hair... for proof, one only needs to take a look at any animal's "dreadlocks." Not a very smart thing to wear on one's head, that's for sure... not to mention how the weight of the hair is messing up this woman's spine.... not very bright.

Can't be good for her health, and how in the world does she wash her hair or even brush and comb it. If it weighs 39 lbs it cannot be very good for her neck and spine.
