I loved everything on Dec 26, 2015 @ 03:01 pm

i was very spoiled this year, and can honestly say I didn't have a favourite. I received many thoughtful gifts, which thrilled me. I was so pleased to see my kids really put thought into their choices for me and for each other.

That's awesome! I saw one blogger who got a whole bunch of camera and microphone stuff, I got a little jealous of that. It was a light year for us because of our Cat's vet bills. But after he was sick, I've learned to be so grateful that I think this year I was more happy with my gifts than ever before!

Hard choice! Forgive my top 4! on Dec 26, 2015 @ 08:21 pm

I got two kinds of gifts from the same person: spending money, and the gifts that were under tree.

My favourite gift for myself that I bought with the spending money was my GUESS jeans that were on an awesome sale and actually fit my long legs. First pair of GUESS, and black jeans. My second favourite is my Ariana Grande perfume set (perfume, hair mist, body lotion). I have wanted it forever and am so glad to have been able to purchase it. Beautiful packaging.

My favourite gift that was under the tree is an adult colouring book meant to relieve stress, because it was VERY thoughtful. I cried! Balancing school and life, I can get overwhelmed with stress easily, and drawing gives me a calming sensation and balance. The book eliminates the need to draw perfect lines myself and plan out everything, which also eliminates stress.

I am so grateful for everything this christmas, and loved spending time with family. I can't wait for next year! :-)

p.s. I totally understand the whole vet bill situation. My loving, gorgeous cat passed away in January - which was financially and emotionally stressful all throughout December. It really does teach you about the value of life, and that there are so so many things more important than material things. I hope your cat is/gets better!! :-)

Which colouring book did you get? I have quite a lot!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your cat. We came so close to losing Cornelius and I am just so grateful that he is doing much better now. I lost Cornelius' brother a few years ago and I'd much rather have this massive 8,000 dollar vet bill than go through what you're going through right now.

Eventually the pain of losing them is less urgent, but it stays with you and crops up from time to time and the only thing that really helps is remembering how they had a loving life with you for whatever time they had. My thoughts are with you <3

I got the best gifts this year: a necklace, a ceramic decorative bowl and a beautiful painting. These gifts were all done by my mom!. Wish I had her creativity.
