We have them so bad in our yard that I can't even get to my garden to smell my flowers never mind tend to them.
Well ladys I just found this out and it really does work. Tie a sheet of Bounce fabric softener through your belt loop when you're out side and the mosquitoes will leave you alone. The no name brand also works, so you don't have to go out and buy the Bounce brand if you don't have it on hand. It also help keep the yellow jackets away from you. I hope this helps you to enjoy you back yards and your gardens this Summer.

I am going to try this for sure, I got eaten alive last night at a bonfire. And if it doesn't work at least you will smell fresh right :P

says it worked for her and she used the unscented kind. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I'm going to today. I'll let you know how it worked for me.

I gave this mosquitoes/bounce trick a test for myself last night while I was trimming three big Lilac trees.
I was a little worried because I have a bit of an allergy to mosquitoes bites, and my no name dryer sheets were kind of old, so I use three of them. I put one around my wrist, one in the front of my jeans belt loop and one in a back lop. My three lilac trees were so full of mosquitoes that my husband wouldn't even go near them! You could see them swarming around the trees and with one touch they would come flying out at you. Well I was out there for two hours cutting branches off the tree's and bagging up the waste and I only got bit once when I was just about done. So from my test this really does work and I'm sure if you were to use newer dryer sheets, or the Bounce kind like it said to use, you won't get bit either. Have a happy Summer.

Omgosh that's really amazing! I'm glad it worked :)
I find eating a bananas really helps as well.

My vacation in Vietnam has earned me 20 mosquito bites in a week and a half. My brother with the winning number of 37 mosquito bites. I also heard that the smell of Listerine keeps them away. If those drying sheets work, I'm rubbing them alll over my body!

My aunt swears by bounce sheets with mosquitoes as well! We used to tease her about having them on her when camping..but they really do work!

Someone was just telling me that this week (I'm in Winnipeg right now - the mosquito capital of the universe!). They are unbelievable here. I forgot how bad they were! My Step-Father walks around the house zapping them with this electric tennis racket contraption he got at Canadian Tire. It's awesome and hilarious at the same time.

Boo Ali, don't remind me of how bad they are in Winnipeg! I have yet to get a single bite yet this year in Montreal, though I am moving back to Winnipeg next week and am not looking forward to all the mosquitos! lol
