I just finished reading "The Art of Driving in the Rain" OMG...sooooo good! If you are looking for light reading, Janet Evanovich's "Plum" series are great! I'll always recommend "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon. Marianne Keyes is an author I used to read a lot of. "Rachel's Holiday" and "Is Anybody Out There" are two of her best.

|I'm not reading one right now, but.. on Jun 10, 2015 @ 09:17 am|
I'm trying to write a book and have been for a long time. I started it oh gee it has to be close to ten years ago now, but I lost it shortly after I first started it. My computer completely died on me and it took what I had already written with it. I was so up set that I didn't bother trying to start over. Than a few years ago at Xmas, my brother that's a computer freak, handed me a big envelope. I was stunned when I opened it. He was playing around with my old computer one day and some how managed to find 98% of what I had written. Witch wasn't much at the time, but it was enough to get me started again. Unfortunately I'm having trouble with my left arm and don't always have complete use of it. So my writing has been very slow, but I'm still trying and hopefully will see it completed one day. Has anyone else every written a book, are writing one now, or have plans to write one?
|The Great Gatsby on Jun 11, 2015 @ 12:24 am|
Just started reading the Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald this evening. I bought it about a year ago and never read it. About a quarter of the way through tonight. I'm intrigued so far.
It's a goal of mine to read more this summer. I used to read so many books a year, but the Internet has ruined me.
Does anyone have any recommendations for what I should read next? Gatsby is only 184 pages, so it's obviously incredibly short. I'm used to much longer books. Open to all kinds of suggestions! :)

I just started reading Paper Towns by John Green. I really enjoyed reading The Fault in our Stars(for now it is my fav book/movie combo), so i figured I would give this a whirl. I am also suddenly obsessed with romance novels...Specifically books by E.L. James and Sylvia Day....But I am really loving these suggestions because I too am a very avid reader. sometimes I even have two on the go at the same time ;) #booknerdsince1984
