Yes, it is exactly what it sounds like.
A Boston couple received a jury summons in the mail for their cat Sal after they listed him on the last census under "pet". Obviously they tried to file for his disqualification of service but the jury commissioner denied the request!!
So Sal the Cat is expected in court in March!
Would you trust a cat to be unbiased on the jury panel? (sorry, couldn't resist!)
