Perks? Other than being able to shop there, not so many, aside from a few "services" they offer you as a middle-man for other vendors ie car rentals or shipping. But some of their pricing really is good enough to make the membership worthwhile - although not everything.

I think it also depends on your 'membership level'. I split membership with a friend and he pays for the extra level, you get cashback and you can also get insurance deals and other things I think.

It lists the perks here on their site!

We've had a membership for about 5 years. Gas and propane are really good in price usually lower than the regular gas stations. And if you like to buy in bulk, the prices are good as well. We usually stock up on our meats there and we just portion them out ourselves. I love it there.

I can't recommend meat at Costco enough. Buy it, freeze it, save a bunch. Other than that Toilet paper, kitchen roll and if you buy namebrand laundry and cleaning supplies here they are so cheap. Name brand beauty supplies too.

Don't buy your fresh fruit or rottables here unless you're using them all in a recipe that day. (Fresh peppers here are a bargain compared to everywhere else in MTL)

If you like old cheese and eat a lot of it, it's also a moneysaver at Costco as old cheese is so expensive...at least here in Quebec it is.
