I've heard of these websites before where you can swap/sell/buy remaining cell phone contracts before they're expired. Does anyone know of a website where you can do this for Ontario?
I'm looking for a cell phone for a few months/year, and I know its not worth my time or money to get locked into a contract or do pay as you go. Any suggestions?

You don't need to get a contract... you can just buy a cheap phone and hook it up... I'll even sell you a cheap phone you can just hook up.
Say NO! to contracts... LOL

I'm not sure about Redflagdeals although there are a lot in the forums there but I definitely know Craigslist and Kijiji have them.
I've bought quite a few things off of Craigslist and everything's great there. Just make sure you talk to the person first, figure out why they're selling their contract, research the type of phone, get all the paperwork that goes with it, etc.
I haven't bought anything off of Kijiji but I do have a friend that bought a cell phone off of there and it was good.
If you don't want to get locked into a contract I'd also agree to do a few months of pay-as-you go first to see how much you use your phone. I doubt anyone would want to sell their contract if they just had a 3months or so left on it but it doesn't hurt to have a look. As for pas-as-you-go, Virgin is pretty good for that and Rogers has a pretty good plan. Rogers has roll over minutes, 40 cents/min during the day, but 1 cent/min on evenings and weekends.

I've bought and sold items on redflagdeals and howardforums...as long as you are careful you should have no problem.
