I usually have some items posted on the groups on fb for sale. I have sold some stuff. I was cleaning cupboards yesterday and posted a couple more things and had someone interested and asked which part of town I was in that was at 430pm. I replied right away had the iPad in the kitchen with me.He didn't answer so I posted in that group a message to members saying why do people comment if they have no intention of answering messages. i got a nasty message later and there is lots of no shows and they have your address as well. I made a point of not giving it. We have had lots of vandalizing and I'm wondering if this group could be why from my truck being spray painted across the bumper lime green a rock thrown them the front window and the house being graffitied. I removed all my ads too many wierdos and enough to deal with.
Does anyone else sell on these groups there are about 5 local groups on fb where you can post things?

I love our local buy/sell/swap group. It's moved from Facebook to an app called Varagesale, which is awesome! It's so easy. All categorized into albums. I use it all the time.

I'm a part of a lot of buy and sell pages on Facebook for my area. And usually I ask where a pick up location as sometimes I don't want to go across the city to pick up an item. When I'm selling stuff I get messages about where pick up location is and if they don't answer back after I tell them I usually assume that they aren't interested because it's too far. I've never really had a problem on these buy and sell sites. I only ever give my address out on PM. I'm pretty sure no shows you can report of an admin also.

I've never sold on a FB buy and sell group, but I have bought things off of them. And never meet at their house, I always meet in town, like at 7-11 or something. Small town and area, but still.

I buy and sell stuff all the time and never had a problem. I always find there is alot of drama on those sites. One time my brother who lives in Toronto met up with a guy to sell him something and the man tried to run away and not pay my brother. My brother didn't let that happen though and got his money lol I would be worried though about giving my address if you live in a big city. I am from a smaller town so I kind of know everyone but I still meet in public usually.

oh my that's terrible! I haven't had any problems yet but the one for my area is pretty competitive I could see someone having a problem with it

Mostly people on the internet are lovely, but remember if you do meet up to buy or sell it's always a good idea to not give a proper address. A good way is to meet in front of a nearby busy cafe. Or have someone with you when you're meeting!
