Thanks to all of you lovelies, and the inspiring money saving advice you gave on my post, I saved well over 50$ on a 200$ shopping trip yesterday. I Price matched for th first time, and it went so smoothly, I'm anxious to do it even better next week. I chose Walmart, as they seem to have an easy policy, and my Walmart is HUGE. So besides matching prices on water , coffee, Chee Whiz (yuck ;-) ), and Grill 'ems, I used several coupons I had been gathering. Cashier was so nice, even suggested that I use an app to make it easier for me, and telling me that almost half of all their customers do price match! I feel like I've got a raise! My son and I spent maybe an hour going through the ads , circling, and making a list. That's $50 an hour..$25 if you count us both...lol. I'm converted and wanted to say thank you, for answering my question and inspiring me!

Good for you I have price matched before and why not! When my coupons are about to expire I go to Walmart to cash in.

Congrats on your first price matching trip! I've been price matching weekly for a year now and I have saved a ton. My priority when PM'ing is too be organized. Not only for myself, but to make it easy on the cashier and for the customers behind me. I don't want to be *THAT* person that holds up the line unnecessarily.

@ benshairnet, I agree totally about being organized. I keep my PM and coupon products separate in the shopping cart, had verified that every product was exact size, brand, etc... When we came to the coupon/ PM section, I let the cashier know. Coupons were not necessary to do that, she said, but she appreciated the price match items, and I had my ads ready, circled in bold Sharpie, with size, count, etc...highlighted. I had also let the people behind me know that I may be a little longer , and they were fine with it, price matchers themselves :)

That's great. Once you get going it seems like you always want to strive for bigger and bigger each time.. I always get excited getting my receipt to see how much I have saved

So happy for you!
I wish my Walmart had a bigger selection, they don't have much in the grocery section sadly.

|Hi Wendy on Jul 05, 2016 @ 12:46 am|
I do my price matching weekly and usually the cashiers are pretty good as long as ur not taking forever or they can be a little grumpy but yes I will usually separate it all and I use flip and actually take a screen shot of each price match item then when I put it on conveyer I put in the same order just something I found works easy sometimes when using the flyer (for me) it can take a bit longer to do. I do most price matching at Walmart too they are the best (as long as u have a big one sorry to hear wonderwhatif) anyway keep at it can totally cut down on the cost of food I also wanted to mention if you get the coupon book in ur paper those items will always end up on sale before the coupon runs out so if ur patient u can save even more. Anyway congrats

Thanks! My walmart is pretty big and great for the home stuff, but the grocery section is just strangely small...maybe it's a quebec thing haha.
