Going to Anaheim on Sunday with my 7 year old and 1 year old. It's a 3.5 hour flight and I am so worried that my baby will cry and irritate people around me! I've packed tons of snacks, drinks, coloring, a couple books and toys and the iPad with some new games. I bought a bag of about 30 earplugs and I will ask the stewardess to let people know it's her first time flying and that I have earplugs. I personally can get irritated by crying but generally only by older kids who are acting up and know better. I generally feel bad for the little or ones and their parents. Any advice for flying with tiny ones?

Don't worry about your baby crying. Babies cry and I think most people will be understanding. You seem well prepared!

Great to hear Enjoy your trip. When I came back from my trip there was a little one crying practically the whole time. this is to be expected, and noone was upset over it, and shouldn't be.I do believe that most, if not all people are understanding. Sit back, relax, enjoy.

I'm just dreading the flight, even though I really love flying, just for the thought of her wailing the whole way. I flew with my oldest, alone, when she was 8 months and she screamed the entire time. One man in particular was quite upset with me.

Babies are people and have just as much right to fly as anyone else. Anyone who isn't compassionate when babies cry on flights is a jerk and can pound sand. Plus if you're anxious then the baby will pick up on that. You sound prepared so try to relax and enjoy the flight. I think the majority of people feel for the parent (s) and baby and think adults who complain are the idiots. Best of luck to you!
