Day at the spa for two! Yes father's go to the spa too ladies! No matter how much they deny it, we all love a good day of pure pampering! especially those couple massages! Not only could it be for him but it's a nice way to treat yourself and Have a reason for it too (;

I am interested to see the responses to this thread...I have always had a hard time with this. My father is definitely not a spa guy even though I know there are plenty of spa men out there. I have always ended up getting my dad the same-ol- thing every year...would be nice to get something different this year!

I also think a gift card to a CD store and some beer make a good present too!

I don't get mine anything, usually just a card. But I would think concert tickets would be great, his favorite beverage, maybe a book/dvd about any of his current interests. Mine love james bond movies, so whenever a new one comes out we get it for him. I would gear something towards a hobby of his: I saw these chocolate golf balls today that would be perfect for a dad with a sweet tooth and a love of golf. If he likes tools, hardware stores are always coming out with cool new gadgets. Those are all my ideas!

I'd love to just see my Dad on Father's Day. We don't live in the same city but we talk on the phone often. He gives me really awesome advice. I think spending time with your Dad is the best thing you can do on Father's Day. If we were in the same city, I'd take him out for lunch or make him a nice dinner.
|Yep, I agree... on May 26, 2009 @ 11:45 pm|
time is definitely the best bet if you are in the same city... I am in another province so it is going to have to be a phone call with a gift in the mail....

my dad and i don't live in the same city either and we don't see each other very often. he's also very hard to shop for. however, i always get him a card and always always include a couple of recent pictures of our family. he loves pictures; he always calls when he receives them and he wants to talk about the pictures. if there's a really good one, then i'll enlarge it for him so he can frame it (or frame it myself before sending).
|auto hammer on May 28, 2009 @ 04:04 pm|
I think a great gift for a handy man dad is the new Craftsman Hammerhead Auto Hammer!!
This thing is awesome! I think many women would love this, too, especially if one is not very adept w/ a hammer (miss the nail, bang your finger, etc ...). B/c you don't need to swing the hammer head back, this auto hammer is great for confined areas that don't allow one to get momentum behind the hammer.
The handy man may initially sneer at this concept, but I bet he'll dig it once he realizes its uses and applications.
