My in laws are really hard to shop for I mean what to you give someone who has everything, every year seems to get worse, and I know it's the thought that counts but with them they seem to like expensive gifts more. Does anyone else have this problem ?

How about an experience instead of a tangible gift? For instance, a cooking class or wine tasting class. What about tickets to a classical music concert or whatever music they are into. If they're into sports, maybe game tickets?

I second an experience gift. Cooking class, wine tasting. That would be really fun. Or gift cards.

Thanks for the advice on Dec 02, 2015 @ 09:55 am

My in-laws do not drink and they are very limited to what they eat because of all their allergies to food as far as gift cards that. Is what I gave most years and sometimes they didn't even use them, I kind of wish they weren't so picky, maybe I will try a craft or something.

Ask them? on Dec 02, 2015 @ 11:25 am

I asked my in-laws and parents what they wanted - they are both hard to shop for. They gave me some great ideas :)

CANDLES!!! on Dec 02, 2015 @ 01:41 pm

I like giving a few small gifts. You could almost call it a gift basket. I like to buy nice good quality candles, and just other miscellaneous things that some people would consider luxury, and others may see it as everyday items they then don't have to buy themselves.

If they're not going to be happy no matter what, I'd say give an emotional or heartfelt craft gift a go! Save yourself some money. Do you have kids? I've heard grandparents love stuff related to your kids.

I'm making christmas tree decorations from Cornflour Clay as gifts this year, but only for my friend who celebrate christmas.
