Just that - swimming as often as possible and in a variety of locales! We've been to both the lake and the ocean this summer, plus we have a small above-ground pool. I love taking my kids to splash parks as well. I can't really get enough of this aquatic activity because I know all too soon the pools will close and then we'll bemoan the cooler weather!

I personally love the heat but wearing light colours and looser styles helps a lot. I also wear dresses almost exclusively when I know it's going to be anywhere close to 30 degrees. Breathable shoes are really important. Sandals and peep toe pumps are great, and I love Geox shoes with the little holes in the bottom. Helps avoid sweaty feet!

Also, running your wrists under cool water or splashing some on your face whenever you come in from outside helps. I also find that effective at preventing smog induced zits.

Its just been really hotter then usual here in Vancouver.I'm a bit of a wimp in the sun.But we also have the above ground pool I dont know what I would do without it!Last year we had the one that had the inflatable top and as we were inflating it and our snoopy cat decided to go check it out and popped it.So this time we got one that is a metal frame and loving that one better it seems a bit more deep. The fans dont work they seem to just push hot air around.Your right swimming is the best bet.I have also resorted to having a a Aquafina facial spray that I keep chilled in the fridge to spray myself not to mention the extra hydration is good as well.I haven't swam in the ocean in ages I love it the salts are so good in the ocean but our ocean beaches here are sooo packed that I like the privacy of my own pool.

I havent heard of Geox shoes I will have to check those out.I wear sandals and ok I have to admit the sandals get pretty ripe lol. I dont know if its because my feet are sweating so bad or if my sandals are just to cheap and the material starts getting stinky(I know to much information lol!)But Im going to check those Geox shoes out.Loose clothing is a good point.I live in skirts and dresses in the summer.Along with the heat wave,we are having severe problems with forest fires because of the dry heat so we also have bad smog/air alerts here.
