and if you want/need more ideas let me know....
cheesecake at Junior's is good....they have them in Manhattan too :)
Dessert at Serendipity is AWESOME
Check out Cafeteria for some good eats too :)
The apple store is really neat-it's like a big glass cube.
Central Park is awesome-so much going on all over the park all the time.
Ice skating at Rockefeller Center is nice-but a bit pricey.
Shopping on Fifth Avenue is wonderful-check out Saks-its sooooo wonderful especially for perfumes!
I always like to go to FAO Schwartz toy store-so many toys to interact with!
If you like Hello Kitty, there is a really cute store in the Broadway district.....
I believe the Naked Cowboy is still singing even in this cold weather!
Let me know if you want more....I am from there and have a looooong list of places to see and go. Nightlife is great there too....if you want suggestions of some of the more 'in' places, let me know!
You will LOVE IT!

There are some great suggestions here! Now I want to visit NYC again. It's been a couple of years since I was last there and I miss it.
|I'm just getting started.... on Feb 01, 2011 @ 08:23 pm|
I am attempting to gather up (aka remember) all of the places I went last year when I was home...I haven't even begun to describe the nightlife!
There is so much to do there!
|Thanks on Feb 02, 2011 @ 12:06 am|
Gals, these are great! Thank you so much for all your suggestions. @Meredith, Central park is probably my #1 spot I've always imagined visiting in NYC, so it is a must for me :) Also, is the serendipity dessert spot the same one as from the movie "Serendipity" ???
@Ali- if I find him, I will def take PLENTY of pictures. Poor guy, I hope he's hiding tonight during the snow storm :P

Just wanted to provide an update, and let you know that I went to Junior's for cheesecake, and it was INCREDIBLE!! I tried their original #1 with cherries and the chocolate swirl. They were both amazingly delicious. I would definitely recommend going there for cheesecake only though...the food was just alright.
