In terms of sweets, an Oreo chocolate covered truffle always goes down a treat and they're pretty simple to make!

I had a Christmas party for my closest girlfriends, and we had the best app ever!:
- Ge t an ACE baguette (or similar) slice into crostini sized slices
- Add thin slices of brie cheese to bread. Put on cookie sheet and bake until just slightly melty
- thinly slice pear and sautee in frying pan in butter until slightly browned
- add 2 slices of pear to the brie bread and bake for a few minutes until cheese bubbles.

Bruschetta in bread....all you need is a muffin pan.
So you take bread slices, white or brown whatever you prefer. You put some butter or margaine on the slice and stuff it into the muffin pan. It makes it into a nice shape. You then either make your own bruschetta mix (tomatoes, green peppers, garlic, onions) or buy the mix. Bake that for a few minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and you are set

I always check Pinterest for unique ideas . If it's adults you can opt for something a little fancier and probably a little more messy . Good luck and happy new years
