Its simple and easy. Just go to pro-flowers or ftd or something of the
like, browse their selection and then just order right there on line.
I think those companies coordinate w/ florists local to the recipient
to process the order. Other times, depending on the order type (e.g.
something planted vs. fresh cut flowers) they do rush overnight
delivery from a large regional facility to minimize any damage.
I've used services like this quite a few times for thank yous or b-day gifts. |

On a side note, why are all flower websites so ugly?
I've sent flowers to people in other cities before and have sometimes searched for flower shops in a specific city, then called them up and placed an order over the phone with my credit card.

If you plan to order bulk flowers and don't mind spend the same amount as you would from the wire service, you can order from an online wholesaler like http://www.wholeblossoms.com where they ship flowers throughout Canada using FedEx. I used them for our company event and they sent us flowers straight from a flower farm in Colombia. The prices were cheap compared to an online florist. |
