I'm growing these for the first time this summer. When it's time and a few have sprung some good eyes, I will plant them eyes up and I should be able to reap potatoes. Looking forward to at least trying this one.

I love potatoes. We grow them every year in our garden and we get so many.

I tried to grow potatoes a while back... didn't end up well! However, last year I was able to grow a lot of beets! They tasted really sweet, and I even made some beetroot powder out of some!

I'd love to grow my own food, but I live in an apartment but the hardest thing for me is being totally dumb about gardening. I wonder if there's a good guide out there for apartment growing for dummies!

If you live in an apartment, I would start small for growing edibles! Try out some herbs! Basil and rosemary are great herbs to cook with, but are also great for container growing and are quite hardy! I've grown quite the variety this past summer :)

If I were living in an apartment,I would start container growing like,Tomatoes,Zucchini.Cucumber, just to mention a few.I grow all those and more besides in my Greenhouse.Outside I grow Strawberries,Blueberries,Raspberries and Gooseberries.I also grow Blackberries.I am not very good with a vegetable Garden.I tried it once, and lost my patience with it.I don't like weeding.I find it too hard on my back, especially with two disks bulging or I should say Herniated.I still love to grow things though, when I feel up to it.I would guess patio growing would be fun.

I think potatoes are the only vegetable we've never tried planting in our garden. We haven't really thought about it to tell you the truth. I'll keep them in mind come spring time.

Great advice for apartment growers ladies! Thanks.
Angel: I feel the same way as I too have a bad back! I'll probably always try and grow in planters up high!
