For some reason, around exam time every year, my apartment is cleaner than ever, I bake more, go outside more and spend a lot of time avoiding studying. Why? It bores me. I feel like, we've flogged this all year people, why waste more time on it? Suddenly, I go from being uber productive to lazy and distracted.
What makes you guys procrastinate and how do you waste your time? :P

I think I am an expert of this one.
I guess it is a fear of failure. I can't stand to fail ever, so I put it off. But funny how that is such a bad trade off, because procrastination leads to failure!!!!
Hmmm.... that is a good way to think that through...

I hate cleaning the bathroom. I'd rather clean every last nook and cranny of the house before I get started on the bathroom.
I also procrastinate a lot at work. I may need to dive pretty deep into a script, but I just don't want to get started. So I often find myself checking up on ChickAdvisor and ChickChat! ... like right now ... ahhahaah :-)

I agree with artist - it is the deep fear of failure that I have. Although, I am very lazy, I'd rather do nothing, so that's why I put things off, but hmm, maybe I am lazy because I am afraid to fail? If you don't start anything, you can't fail right? Usually, once I do something it turns out ok (like back in school writing reports, etc.), but just to get it started is such a chore. Like this month with my taxes. Ugh. Nothing like last minute.

For me, I'm not really about failing or anything - for some reason I'm generally really laid back when it comes to school (probably too laid back lol).
Also, I find that I am physically unable to start working on an assignment unless it's the day before - I work really well under pressure, and can't seem to get anything done otherwise, which means I end up pulling a lot of all nighters!

Haha! I used to be known for procrastinating, now I'm known for my ADD. The relation? Someone asks me if I'm done with something, and its either on my oops-forgot-to-do list, or halfway done. I've been adjusting a coworker's jacket for a month and a half now because I keep forgetting I have it. Now someone remind me to take my evaluation with me tomorrow. The darn thing is four days late.

ChickAdvisor is one of my number 1 procrastination sites!
I should be studying.
I really should.
