Hi everyone!! I am so excited to join the club and have been selected for my first at-home review opportunity. My box of goodies came in and I've just opened it to the shock of full-sized products! Here I was thinking it'd be little mini samplers. Super stoked to start trying it tomorrow. :)
The congratulatory email (which - made me feel AWESOME!!) gave me four simple questions to consider when drafting my review.
The first suggested point sort of stumped me and I'm hoping someone with experience could help me out. Here's the question:
1. How was your experience with this product based on the advertised benefits?
My question is this: Before or during your testing process, do you research the product website to read their advertised benefits - or do you simply work from what you see on the package?
Thanks Chicks! <3

I usually base my experience according to what the company states on the packaging itself, much like if I were purchasing straight from the store and bringing the product home to try out. If I do research anything online, it's the price and eventually what others have thought about the product, but the latter is only once I've posted my own unbiased review.
Welcome to ChickAdvisor!! I hope you enjoy your products. :)

Thank you for the quick reply! It makes sense to just work with what is in front of me and not go to their site quite yet. I really appreciate your point about offering an unbiased opinion. That exact wording is what I needed this evening. Thanks for hitting that home. :)
So far, I've opened the box, read the intro card and posted my gratitude for the opportunity on Twitter with the proper hashtags and whatnot, as requested. Now, I am making notes just based off my first impression with the packaging. I'm so excited to try it and to publish my review.
Thanks again for helping me start off on the right foot and for the lovely welcome. :)

My pleasure! We're here to guide each other along, I think you're on the right track and you'll see it gets easier as you progress to more products. Just write your review as though you were telling a friend about it and it will come to you naturally. :)

Welcome to the site and congrats on getting your first set of items! It's so exciting to get those emails and even more so the package in the mail. :)
Like @prettyrainbow mentioned I base my review off what I see on the packaging, most will have some selling points listed right on them. Chickadvisor also usually does a little write up about the item when the product is offered on the Product Review Club page that you can also check out! http://www.chickadvisor.com/productreviewclub/
