hey Chicks! I got a huge box full of more than thirty goodies for my birthday. <3 The box has full size products from brands like Avon, Dove, Olay and a few others. To be fair, I'm thinking it would be good to say in my reviews that I got the product free as a birthday gift.
What do you think?
ps: while we're all here - I'm letting ya'll know that there are some exciting things coming soon to my interwebularspace- including a new profile name for this Chick! Stay tuned! :)

Great birthday gift! And happy belated birthday. Totally not necessary to say you got it for free when it's a gift, don't worry about it at all. You only need that disclaimer if you got it from a company at a discount or free for testing!
I always use the disclaimer for any good I got through Amazon review programs, or free sample testings like here! Otherwise, you're good to go.
Ooooh exciting news? Keep us updated!

That is really awesome! No, I don't think you have to disclosed if you got it as a birthday gift.
Do, keep us posted on what happening!

If a company sends it to you, then it definitely should be made clear, but a gift, in my opinion is optional. Personally, I tend to state that I got an item for free, regardless of whether it came from a company or a friend. In a way I want to make it known that I wasn't the one who went out to purchase it and it's a good way for me to explain if I'd consider spending my own money on the product in the future.
Happy Birthday to you!! I hope you enjoy your goodies and look forward to reading the reviews that you'll post. :)

|Hey!!! on May 25, 2016 @ 02:26 pm|
I noticed it didn't pick up the part where i said I was sitting and waiting patiently for the exciting news...maybe because I wrote it in the "greater than/less than" brackets.

Big happy belated birthday wishes to you! :) I hope you enjoyed it!!
In my opinion, whenever I receive something for free, whether it be a sampling program or as a birthday gift, I prefer to mention I got it for free and how (ex. sephora birthday gift, sample source etc.)
I personally feel better that way but I would agree with the ladies and say it is optional up to you if you want to include that you got it for free as a birthday gift. If a company sent it to you for the purpose of you providing your review, you should include that you got it for free. I hope my opinion helps! :)

That is an awesome gift! Happy belated birthday!
You can include that bit of information if you like to, as long as it does not cause you any dissonance within yourself-- whatever brings you peace of mind =) I hope you do not mind me asking about how you received the box on your birthday-- Are you subscribed with anyone and they send out a box to you on your birthday? I would love to receive a birthday surprise in the mail. I never really gotten anything for my birthday for years so this would be lovely

Sorry I've been gone so long, ladies! My random humans have made this, by far, the best birthday MONTH I've ever enjoyed! I was whisked away for a few days here and there. Played Bingo for the first time ever (with a brand new dobber and all!) then needed some serious reenergizing time once I was finally home. Those "Bingo Bags" - as they call themselves, are a rowdy bunch! lol
A bittersweet update on my news:
I was going to purchase a domain and webpage builder for myself (as HappyEastCoastr), and have a whole reviews/blog/general awesomeness thing going on, like a few of you have. Unfortunately, living on the fixed meager disability allowance, I just can't afford the cost...plus...my health has been getting worse and I just don't think taking on a potential multiple-year investment would be wise at this point... As much as I was really looking forward to creating my own domain.
Let's not allow this pothole get us too far down though! I do have some HUGE news!!! Twitter has made the incredible choice to name me as a "Public Figure" and my account (@susanlranni) is in the process of being verified! So exciting!! I honestly have no idea what I did to deserve it - but holy cow - what an honor!!
Plus! A free WordPress blog was created!! Once it's all pretty and whatnot, I'll share it with you gals first! <3
Thank you for all the birthday wishes. It truly was a fabulous one - and if it shall be my last, 'twas the best ever. :)
I really appreciate all of the opinions offered about how to properly close reviews on my birthday bundle (which, by the way - has grown!). It seems as though most are leaning the way I feel most comfortable. By ending the review with "I received this product as a birthday gift." Followed by whether I will or won't purchase the product in the future.
And so that is how it shall be. :)
Thank you!! :)
