Probably! It's a big company that a lot of people do business with and google will show you that many others are upset as well. Do you wanna share why you're upset? It might make you feel better.

I called in then I was on hold for 1 hour. Only the find out that the contract that I cancelled 3 months ago is still showing up under my phone when it shouldn't be. Speak to a rep she couldn't help because my # is still shown up under the close account. Transfer again 30 min. New rep ask me the same question 3 times I repeated they answer 3 times to the point I had to just hang up because my head was starting to hurt.

Rogers sucks. First of all, their PVRs don't work properly, and every time I exchange it for a different one, there's always something wrong with that one too. One of their salespeople downright admitted to me that they're "hit or miss", so I really don't get why they'd continue to rent out faulty tech to begin with. Why am I paying for something that stops working so often?
Secondly, we had to call them the other day to see if we could downsize, because we can't continue to afford to pay for the stuff we currently have. The person was really nice about it and helped us out, but I all of a sudden found out that I was signed up for international calling on my home phone for an additional $40/month...which no one discussed with me! So now I have an extra $40 charge on last month's bill that came out of nowhere. I'm wondering what they're going to sign me up for when I call them again tomorrow. Not amused.
All I can say is, I sympathize! I'd switch to something like Bell but I hear they're just as bad.

All the big companies are the same! Here in Quebec it's worse because there's not as much competition, but in Canada in general the telecommunications industry is bad because of lack of competition and 'the big 3'
The only reason I'm with Bell is hubby gets an employee discount as he works for a company that is a subset of Bell media.

I personally haven't had any issues with customer service. Though I have had a lot of issues with signal. I would lose service while sitting on my couch. Which happened to be just outside the downtown area.
If I went anywhere rural, I'd almost certainly lose service. It was terrible. I switched to a different provider the first chance I got.

Every week we get a letter in the mail for "Household of "Name of street, address, etc" - basically not to us directly, but to whomever lives in our house.
SO annoying. And what a waste of paper, trees, and money.
It has been 5 years. We are not getting Rogers.
No wonder their prices are so high with all the marketing that goes directly into the recycle bins!
|What timing... on Sep 16, 2016 @ 06:16 am|
I actually just lived out loud a little at the timing of this post, as all we have been having issues with Rogers at my home here in Newfoundland. We have our landline, cable and internet with them - and earlier this week it crashed for about 12 hours (our whole neighborhood, apparently), and is still not dependable. Unfortunately, this particular bill is in my husband's name only and he is away working for the next couple of weeks, and they won't even talk to me. We will be adjusting the names on the account, but I am ready to walk away from altogether at this point..
@crystaljam - we have been customers since we bought this house almost two years ago, and every week get those same marketing items in the mail - waste of trees and money!

Bell is as bad or worse. Honestly, getting our bill is so stressful, because there is always something wrong, and we know we have a 2 hour wait to sort it out.

you're so right wendyroy with Bell you half to sit down like 2 hours just to try and make sense of the bill they over charge you and when you call them up they say oh just pay this price and we'll take of the rest the next time your bill comes in it will be adjusted well guess what the bill comes in the fees they were suppose to take of is back on their again plus more extra fees I was with Rogers for a long time my plan for my t.v. phone and computer ran out and they didn't have any plans available to my liking so I switch to Bell I was with them for 2 months and I said never again I paid everything they were charging me which was a rip off then I cancelled them and went back with Rogers these are the only competitors around here that's why they do this they're big companies and won't let any other company compete against them

I had to give them up last year because,I wasn't getting any satisfaction on anything that was going on.I'm with Bell now and, everything is just great. No hassle about anything and if there is a problem, they take care of it right away.I loves it.
