In case you are not familiar with Shadow Shopping-it is the same as a mystery shopper. You evaluate assigned business services based on a specific criteria given by the Shadow Shopping companies. Shadow shoppers are most often incognito, but recent trends are heading towards"positive shadow shopping" -where you observe the service, grade it according to a criteria and reveal yourself to staff at the end of the visit. If the business passes you give the employee a cash reward, if not- you review where they failed. Jobs vary from $5-$100 compensation plus refund of your purchase IF it is required.
Some Shadow Shopping sites also offer:
Merchandising work: Where you arrange shelf space in stores.
Interviewer: Doing in-person surveys at specific locations.
Demo: Where you demonstrate product samples in stores.
This list of companies cost me $15. I am sharing only with my fellow Chick Advisors. =) Add me as a friends and lets network Chickies!

I live in a rural area as well and find that GFK has fewer assignments around here. What works for me is to book jobs in the nearby larger town (about 30 minutes from me) and book routes along my bi-weekly shopping trips.
