The man came to read my gas meter today and said he can't come in because I have dogs and I'd have to do it myself. Sheeeez. I told him that's okay if you're afraid of tiny dogs, I understand because you're such a small man. He said wow and I said yeah wow, I can read it better than you can anyway, or do you actually know how to read numbers?? Was he ever mad at me.It made my day.

i too am very afraid of any dog ....big ...small it does not matter... i was attacked and bitten really bad as a child from a doberman ...it may be your insensitive to people with that fear or folks like me that have been attacked......if its got teeth im so afraid and wouldnt enter your home until i got to know the dogs....just saying....

They usually just go around my backyard and I make sure to keep the dog inside when they're reading the meter. I think it's more of an issue of not having to hold you responsible if the dogs end up biting a worker. My pet peeve is that they always show up unannounced and sometimes I just find them in the backyard without any warning.

pretty rainbow. He read the outside metre but the other one is in the basement.Angelwingsx2- the guy was maybe 5 '8 and very thin and my dogs are tiny they're pugs, part chihuahua and pug.Blubie- I wasn't insensitive. The reason I said that to him was his rude attitude and expression. I do respect one's fear of animals large or small.

I have 2 big, very friendly dogs. I don't share that information until I know who wants entrance to my home. If it's a legit reason, and they're really scared, I'll put them in a room, where they are really pains...barking, scratching, etc....then hurry the person alone...lol
