Before I say anything, i do understand that sometimes being honest can have it's drawbacks so it won't bother me. here goes. I've been reading the comments about product club reviews and (I could be wrong) but i think there's a little animosity or jealousy going on.Also, about my rich title- I'm sort of flabbergasted noone has thought about or mentioned the fact that when there are a fairly big list of products listed to be entered to win money or the mug, quite a few chicks seemed to have purchased pretty well every item on the list. Now, that is to me more questionable than review quality etc.

I completely agree with you, it's unfair for others who would really benefit

I totally agree and I'm sure there are some that haven't tried all of these products and just want the high amount of points offered for each review. There are some that I couldn't take part in because I genuinely had not tried any of the products listed and that's ok.

Although I would have loved to own the ChickAdvisor cup, I haven't tried any of the products on the list. I can only speak for myself personally and say that I would never invent reviews just to win an item. I'd rather give someone else the opportunity. Although it does seem shady that one would review every single item for a contest, you never know, there may be people out there that by chance have actually tried every item on the list. It would seem rare, but it could be possible. With that being said, I know it sucks having to see this happening, but the best we can do is just continue following the rules. Only good could come out of that.

I agree with you on this one! I would have love to own one of the mugs, but only tried a few of the items. Plus I have already left reviews for the most of the ones I tried from the last gift card contests. So I probably only have 1 review in for the mug :( I consider myself a big product person and I've only tried a handful of the products. So yes, it's hard for me to believe that so many people have tried every single product, but it could happened I guess. I'm just going to continue to follow the rules and forget about the mug because I have no chance.
I agree with prettyrainbow as well, speaking for myself, I can't find it in myself to invent reviews just to win something. I rather go to a contest website and enter actual contests instead. :)

sometimes I can barely review anything on the list because I have not tried it and I will not make up stuff just to qualify...

You guys are so wonderful for your honesty in reviewing! Yes, we'd agree it seems suspicious that someone will have actually tried every single product we put up as a point of entry for a contest. We are monitoring the situation and doing our best to sniff out fraud. Obviously, it IS possible that someone really has tried everything - that's what's so tricky.
ChickAdvisor is NOT a contest/deals/freebies site. There are other great websites out there who focus on that, run by fearless Canadia women entrepreneurs and we think that's awesome!
ChickAdvisor IS a reviews website, and our expectation is that people will use it according to its designed purpose. If you post faux reviews, you'll get kicked out. Our reputation as a destination for genuine, unbiased reviews is built on the honesty and integrity of terrific members like you guys, so please keep doing what you're doing!
Thanks for your loyalty, and please know that we are working hard every day to make sure ChickAdvisor is the best website it possibly can be. Have a great long weekend, everyone!

I know, I see both sides. Last month I busted my A to try to get one of the Top Chick spots but even after 5000 points I didn't come close. I scrounged my whole house and went through all my samples and stashes of products, but burned out near the end. I did feel perturbed about how high everyone's points were going. But I've also read on couponing message boards of people who sale-brag of going Shoppers and spending $400 on beauty sale items, and then $500 at Winners on beauty clearance items in the same day. It's like I get that these are great brands at great prices, but wow-wee. With that said, it's surprising how much product clutter I have myself by never getting rid of stuff and buying the same categories of things before I've used up what I have. I don't like the Top Chick thing; as for me it's unattainable... it should be random for active users each month. I'm such a whiner, though, so this suggestion is totally to benefit me.

Being top chick isn't something I ever aim for. Not even sure why they do it. All top chick gets from what I hear is a gift card. What bothers me most is the site never looks at the newbies busting off their butts to try get at least one product mailed to try. They always go after ones who spend a fortune on the products! What about the rest of us? We try hard and don't get looked at it seems!

I am one of the chicks that you would probably question. I work in a pharmacy, in a drug store. I get HUGE discounts and clearances on TONS of amazing stuff. Because of this, I have truly tried almost every item on that list...and you better believe I left reviews!

i buy a lot of "teen boxes" and always stock up on beauty products after Christmas when they are at 75% off. I also receive many moisturizers etc... As gifts from patients. Many things I will try, and then pass off to my nieces, as I always have way too much. I also go to most women's shows and r Clive a ton of samples. I love trying things, always on the hunt for the product that will make me look 20 again. That being said, i use reviews when I am thinking of buying a product, so appreciate that someone has tried a product and giving practical real advice. It is usually pretty easy to see if a review is quality information or not.
