I do believe in certain things that cant be explained ,for example objects moving on their own because I saw it with my own eyes and I know alot of people are non believers but things like this are real and do happen just not to everyone but I do not believe in vampires or werewolves

I don't believe in vampires or werewolves but I do believe in spirits - both evil and benign. I never used to, until my husband and I lived in a house where completely unexplainable things began happening and got progressively more intense, until we moved out.

In terms of ghosts or even angels, anything is possible... We're spiritual beings without any knowledge of where our soul came from or where it will go after we're gone from this physical world. Who's to say that only the physical versions of humans exist? I do know people who have claimed to have seen ghostly figures or have had out of body experiences, so I won't dismiss the possibility entirely.
There's a great book from Deepak Chopra titled, "How to Know God" that asks such questions. It doesn't focus on one religion in particular, but rather how different cultures connect with spirituality. The subject of spiritual beings or ghosts comes up and some of the stories he describes really gets you thinking. It's definitely an interesting read!
As for werewolves, vampires and other mythical creatures, I do think that some of it is based on theory from historical events that may have occurred or people that once existed that were probably considered strange or unlike the rest of the population. However, I do think that part of the facts were ultimately mixed with fiction to develop characters that we now consider supernatural or out of this world. Original fairy tales were basically created this way.
Great topic! I'm also interested to see what more people think about this.

Really interesting replies, ladies. I've loved reading them all and seeing what you think. I'm very open minded so while I'm naturally inclined to be a sceptic, I also live by a 'never say never' rule. I mean many scientific rules we believed to be 100% true just a few years ago have been disproven or scientists have made an about face.
Many people also have a 'see it to believe it' policy. But look at the animal the Dik Dik. It doesn't look real. I've never seen it, only in pictures, but it exists!
So far I've had no Supernatural experiences of my own, but I'm definitely not willing to say that no such thing is real. I think the world (and further the galaxy) is so interesting and vast that there's a lot of things I won't experience in my life. Haha, I'm such a thinker >_<;

I don't believe in the supernatural.
I'm not going to lie though... I was hoping this conversation was about Supernatural the t.v. series so we could all talk about how dreamy Dean Winchester is. Haha!

Hahaha I was wondering if anyone would think that!
