Hey chicks, I hope y'all are having a wonderful day.
So today I went to the Superstore with my mum and we recently found out they are changing some of their policies (again?) such as the competitors they will price match with and how many items you are allowed to have when price matched.
For example, Superstore allowed up to 6 items of said product you are price matching, now, they are decreasing it to 4 items per said product.
We were price matching diced tomatoes from FORTINOS and this is what surprised me the most: They do not price match FORTINOS. What?! I personally thought that's crazy/weird because they have the PC plus program too and to my knowledge, Superstore, Nofrills, FORTINOS, Zehrs etc.... are all owned by the dominant company, Loblaws.
These differences are in affect on may 27th
please note to check in your nearest Superstore to see if there are any changes in the stores that are price matched etc.

Interesting, thanks for the heads up!

Interesting. Good to know. I have never taken them up on price matching because I don't receive flyers.

Yea they don't price match with Shoppers Drug Mart & Recall either..
And I price match everything when I go to the super store because their soo expensive.

Thanks for the heads up, I never tried price matching with them before. I do use coupons and if the item ends up free than they give me such a hard time.
They also won't let you mix and match if it's 2 for let's say $9.00. I tried to get Swifter refills and I wanted two different scents but exactly same product, they made me go and get the exact 2.
It was a surprise to me because at Walmart I get different scents of the same item all the time and never had a problem. :)

Oh yeah and the coupons, I got it from Superstore's coupon portal. A lot of their cashiers has no idea about them. :(
Forgot to mentioned when I had to go back to get the exact same 2 Swifer refill, the line up was crazy long, so I was so embarrassed.

@Cupcake Just about a week and a half ago I price matched garnier whole blends from Rexall at Superstore for $3.99. They did not reject me. In my Superstore, on the -new- list of their competitors, they did have SDM but it may be different for you. Superstore honestly has the weirdest policies. One time my mum tried to price match green peppers that some type of supermarket sold and they told her oh we don't price match that supermarket-- a week later: that same market is on their competitors list??!!?!

@Jujusamples You're welcome :) I can't believe they hassled you over the scents you chose, it shouldn't really matter imo
You're right, they don't let you mix and match (most grocery stores don't allow that I think) and my mum wanted to price match these hotdogs 2/3 or 1.50 each but I told her they don't allow that but we went with it anyway and the cashier agreed to give us the deal so I was surprised a bit lol

Tbh I like superstore for its PC plus program because you will be surprised how fast your points bulk up.

I actually read about this recently. They apparently won't be price matching from any of their own sister stores, from what I remember.
