I love living in the country, I always have and I still do. Cities are ok for shopping and such but it's always nice to get back home to the peace and quiet of the country. Even when I was a kid this is how I preferred it. It's either a part of you or it isn't. I lived in a city for a very long time but I would just rather travel to get to work and not live in the city.

I feel like I'm the opposite, haha. I love to visit the country and used to have some relatives that lived out there. I liked it, but at night time I was always paranoid that some cheesy horror movie situation was going to play out because of the isolation. Ridiculous, I know. I love the country, but I've lived in cities my whole life and I'm just used to it. I don't drive-- I either walk or bus most places. I like being able to walk down the street to get my groceries or whatever. I don't like the idea of being in the heart of down town, and I don't like suburbs; I like that weird sort of area that's right outside of down town, but not so far out that it's cookie-cutter suburban housing. I was also in a car accident recently (not in the city, though) and get really anxious in the car, so I would hate to rely on it as my main means of transportation. But I definitely see the positives to living in the country, and my husband wants to give it a go someday! :)

There's nothing weird or ridiculous about it lol. It's just your comfort zone. I kinda feel the same way you do but about the city lmao. I won't walk the streets in the city at night but I've walked on the dirt roads around my place countless times without no fear of bears etc....... I'm more scared of people than I am of wild animals. But as I said, it's either in you or it's not. Either way it's important to do what makes you happy and makes you feel safe :) But hey maybe you'll give it a whorl one day with your husband and you might like it or again you may not! Good luck!

Don't get me wrong I do still love going out into the country, but I love city living. I like being around lots of people and stores. I am addicted to shopping(I know it's bad) that's mainly why I like living in the city. For the convenience and becaue my family and friends live in the city as well!
But that is great that you prefer country living, it must be so peaceful!

You know that's one thing I've never enjoyed is shopping lol :) and I don't like being around a lot of people. Weird huh!! I've always been this way even as a teen. My friends would like going to the mall and I'd avoid it like the plague lol. But it just means that we all have preferences like yourself Kylee. It's all about doing what makes you happy :)
