I just borrowed some Gillian Flynn books from my best friend.
Just started Sharp Objects. I am already getting into it!
She writes some edgy and twisted book. I love it.

What novel are you currently indulging in?

Rereading His Dark Materials trilogy and loving it again! What's Sharp Objects about?

I'm supposed to be reading a book for my book club...but I'm struggling to get into it. It's by John Irving.

Nil I find out all I need to know on the internet. Reading is a waste of time.

You really feel that way, dollysgramma? I find it hard to have time to read now I'm an adult, but honestly if I hadn't read as much as a kid I would be totally different. I know so much random stuff and have a great vocabulary thanks to my childhood adventures in reading.

Not even counting my imagination. I think it's so important for young people to read! But of course, the internet is a great source of knowledge and learning too!

This novel is about a young journalist who gets sent back to her home town (small town) to write an article about a missing girl. There are suspicions that a serial killer has targeted the young girls of this town. Very dark but intriguing,

I like it so far. I'm only on the second chapter but I've been able to get a better understanding of his childhood, which I found really connected into his campaign. Right now I'm reading about his parents divorce (his mother getting remarried) and his schooling after moving back to Quebec.

It's a teen to adult fantasy book trilogy. Its kind of hard to explain. They made a movie 'The Golden Compass' which is the first book, but the movie sucked haha.

It's got a lot of religious references and questions about what sin is etc woven through the story.
