Hello Chicks! I have a Question of the Day for you! I'm wondering... what's your fashion or beauty Achilles heel? What's the bane of your existence? What's that thing that you just can't get a handle on?
I'll admit that I am AWFUL at putting on fake lashes. Any time I've done it, they just fall off and I give up or I get someone else to do it for me. I just can't seem to do it and to be honest, I can't be bothered to learn properly. I also tend to overdo it on the accessories. I'm all about more is more! Lately, I've been following the rule- whatever you put on last, take off so I keep a good balance.
So what's your fashion or beauty downfall?

My eye shadow application always looks like a mess. I can't even attempt a smokey eye.

Luckily we just posted this super useful eyeshadow application guide- yay!
Also, we did this smoky eye tutorial: http://www.chickadvisor.com/article/beauty-school-smoky-eyes-tutorial/
But for your most laziest and easiest of applications, when it comes to a smoky eye, sometimes I'll go with a thicker, smudge friendly kohl pencil and thickly line my lash (feel free to make mistakes!) and with my finger or Q tip just rub it in. Afterwards, with a thinner and denser pencil, i'll go in and just touch up along the lashline, close to my lashes.

I can't apply liquid eyeliner to save my life :(

We posted this nifty little trick for liquid liner not too long a go: http://www.chickadvisor.com/article/perfect-your-cat-eyeliner-with-one-easy-trick/
It's pretty useful however I should warn you beforehand not to use scotch tape if you think you might be allergic.
We also did a tutorial on it as well: http://www.chickadvisor.com/article/how-to-do-a-winged-eyeliner/
I find with cat liner though, there is not real tip or trick, you kind of just need two things: patience and practice. Go with a steady, slow hand and keep trying! Also, fine tipped markers help and I find gel formulas and a thin paintbrush easier to work with.

I am pretty bad with nail polish. I'm able to apply simple coats fairly well, not too bad with slopping over onto my cuticles (usually), but I never am able to get them fully to dry without dinging them up. I have been using Seche Vite for a few months now and that helps, but I still manage to get at least one flaw before they fully dry.

I just read a trick for this very problem, but I haven't tried it yet so I can't say how well it works. It just sounds like it will if you're willing to try it that is. It said to place glue around your finger nails, I'd use kids white glue, let it dry and then apply your polish. Once the polish is dry remove the glue and you'll have a perfect look, or at least that what it said. If you give it a try let me know how it works out for you. I broke half of my nails playing in the garden last weekend, or I would have tried it myself.

Winged. Cat. Liner. UGH. Love the look so much but no matter how many tutorials I watch, I just can't get it right.

At-home waxing... does that even count? Regardless, I am the worst at doing it so I tend to just avoid it. I'll use other means of hair removal or have it done professionally. I'm just not the right person to wax my own eyebrows/legs.

My winged eyeliner. I can never make the lines even. They always look too sketchy and bad. Its my weakness!

I'm with Alex - false lashes are just a hopeless mess.
Even in the miraculous event of one eye turning out ok, the other is guaranteed to end crooked.
On the bright side, I learned how to work a mascara wand to make them look giant!
