World's Oldest Man Dies at 114

The Guardian reported that the world's oldest man just died at age 114.  He is the world's second oldest person (26 days younger than a woman living in Los Angeles).

Walter Breuning was born on September 21, 1896 in Minnesota.  He died of natural causes, hadn't been taking any medication other than the occasional aspirin, and attributed his age to eating 2 meals a day and working until late in life to keep him mind young.

Isn't is amazing to think about all the things he's seen and lived through!

Who's the oldest living person in your family?  My grandfather is turning 89 this year and he's still going strong.

I can only hope that I could get to that age and not be on any medication! Good for him.
My grandfather is going to be 81 or something this year... I think that's the oldest we've got right now.

That's amazing! That man lived through pretty much every eventful thing this past century has seen! Crazy when you think about it...

The oldest person in my family is my grandmother-in-law ....she's mid 90s, probably close to 100, and still going STRONG!!! She can out-logic me in an argument (and that's saying something!), has the sharpest mind and wit of anyone I know...she still travels quite a bit, does everything for herself, very strong, and all round fabulous woman. At that ripe young age, she still makes her sons tremble, head bowed, 'yes maam'-ing her every word lol :) I would not mind being like her when I'm her age!
