I heard a rumor from a friend a couple of days ago that really bothers me.She was telling me that she heard on the news that,Artificial Sweeteners like Sugar Twin and Sweet and Low can cause Diabetes and many other serious ailments in humans.I have been using one of these products now for many years and I tell you,if there is any truth to it,I'm scared.I'm going to get my Doctor to check me out if there is any truth to it.I was wondering if any of you Chicks heard about this on the news anytime? If you did, could you please post what you heard? Thanks,Anglewings.

I've heard that they are no good. I use brown sugar, which is a healthier replacement

yeah, I think that artificial sweeteners have chemicals in them and hence I can see why it can be harmful.
Have you heard of this plant called Stevia? Its leaves are actually really sweet and edible! You can just pluck it off and eat it. I saw a product in the supermarlet today that is a derivative from stevia, might be interesting to check it out.

I'm shocked- this info has been around for years. Avoid them at all cost.

I saw the new product Stevia in our supermarket and it was in a small box.the same size as a box of Sugar Twin.On the front of the box it read Stevia Sweetner. They must be using it for a artificial Sweetner.I never bought it or read the box but I should have.Next week when I go to the Market and I see it there,I'll read the ingredients to see what additives are in it.I'm sure there are some in it.I'll write up on it.
