I have chronic UTIs, which I have to take daily antibiotics for, but I have some tips. I haven't tried the marshmallow tea idea, but that sounds interesting... I do recommend taking cranberry pills or drinking cranberry juice (the 100% stuff, not cocktail). It won't do much if you already have an infection, but it can help prevent it.
Pee as soon as you feel you need to, and wipe front to back. If you're sexually active, shower before having sex and pee after. Drink lots of fluids all the time, also I've found downing lots and lots of water while I have an infection can help a lot.
Hope that helps!

I've heard of everything that @beautyinfinitum wrote and have been told this by doctors etc. before so I think these things do help!
I've definitely heard of cranberry jucie too and I think that will also be helpful fro yeast infections (but don't quote me on that I'm not totally sure)
As far as marshmallow tea goes, I have never even heard of that!!! What exactly is it?

Marshmallow root is an old time remedy for bladder infections...I believe in using herbs they really do work...Buy the marshmallow root from a health food store dont get tricked into buying prepackaged remedies but buy it in bulk.Buy a small bag full it will be very cheap and boil it to make tea and drink that.
Pure cranberry juice(no sugar added is excellent)
A few other good herbs are goldenseal root and Buchu herb but whoever told you to try Marshmallow root made a very good suggestion.good luck hope you start feeling better.
Also drink lots and lots of water during bladder infections
Also green tea is very good to drink
@Alex Marshmallow root is usually found in damp areas like marshes. The roots and leaves hold the most nutrtion and have many healing properties from colds to bladder infections. It is a plant
