Body Acne Tips or Tricks?

I need some help! Recently I've started to break out on my chest and shoulders.  It's so embarrassing and I absolutely hate it.  Does anyone have any miracle products? Or tricks to help control it?

First: What are you using for soap/body wash? Could there be something in that affecting your breakouts? I find that certain body scrubs that I use cause breakouts on my shoulders.

Second: I swear my those old OXY pads with salicylic acid for my chest. During 'that time of the month', I get small little breakouts on my chest and those pads clear them up! If you find that no products seem to work and this is a new development, I would see a dermatologist if it really bugs you.

Try getting a small spray bottle from the dollar store and add distilled or filtered water and a few drops of essential tea tree oil(make sure its 100% tea tree oil)mix that and spray on the effected areas...That way your covering a large area of your shoulders and chest with a spray.Good luck

some A.H.A. Botanical Body Soap from Mario Basescu for my son a few years ago and it works really great. After only using it ounce you could see a change the next day and it was all gone by the end of the week. I can't recall what I paid for it now and the store I bought it from is closed now. If you go to the Mario Badescu web site you can look it up and also look up stores that my be in your area. I hope this helps.

I've gotten free samples from them over the last two years three times.
They give you a lot and there really nice size samples. That's how I got
hooked on their products. Unfortunately the place by my home closed so I
can't just go out and pick up what I run out of any more. To buy it on
line costs a small fortune in shipping and if you buy it from an America
web site you may not even get everything you order across the boarder.
Somethings they'll just take out of the box and your out of luck and
the money you paid for it. It all depend on what its made of, or so I
was told. I haven't tried to get any sample in a while, so I might just
give it another try. Oh and if you do order from their web site they
always let pick three free samples to try. Great deal if you live in the
States.

I agree with Alex. What's changed? Are you using new soap, new body cream? New detergent? A different fabric or garment that you seem to be wearing more? Are you feeling stressed?

All of these things can have an impact on your skin and sebacious glands.

If there's nothing that's new then I'd just monitor it - does it happen around your period?

Otherwise, I'd use Oxy pads or dry them out as best as possible.

adeptbrunette : Nothing has really changed. Maybe just the stress levels. :/ haha I usually break out a little around that time of month but nothing like this.. Its been all month... I've been trying the Vichy Normaderm products on them.. NOTHING. -__- Gah! It's embarassing.

Also, thanks! I requested my samples! :) So we'll see.

I used to suffer with body acne (chest, and back) for quite awhile. I found that when I started going to tanning beds, it started to clear up. I think that it's drying out the skin, which is slowly decreasing the oils? I'm not totally sure, since no one really recommends that method!

My mom has ALWAYS struggled with this, I remember even when I was a kiddo. She has been using Neutrogena body acne wash.

There are different scents and after many doctors visits,prescription creams, etc this is what has worked! It's worth a try anyways. I also used to break out on my shoulders and chest that time of the month and use this daily and haven't had any break outs since! You could also try to wash the affected area with normal face wash.

I also have put toothpaste on different bumps over night and it is pretty miraculous! That may be a "myth" but it does help in my opinion.
