OK so I know this whole health and fitness kit has been out for awhile, but I was thinking about it the other day and contemplating possibly trying it out. Im not overweight by any means, but I just wanted to tone a bit (mainly from the hips down) and lose my love handles. Also, because of having my gall bladder out last summer and STILL having stomach problems, the nutritional shakes are supposidly an excellent alternative to a lot of the food available these days.
The company claims that you lose INCHES, not necessarily weight. Ive read so many reviews about it as well, and there are rarely any negatives it seems. I just want to know if anyone here has personally tried this so I can get a legit review from a personal perspective, considering you never know whats out there on the Internet!!

...that seem too good to be true, always are.
The only way to get in shape is to have proper diet, exercise and sleep well.
im not sure on Jan 06, 2012 @ 02:57 pm
have you tried joining zumba classes in community centers, or 3 free classes from goodlife?
i find the classes more of freestyle, and it is cardio - which is great for losing a little bit of love handles.
i have no experience by this Body by VI.
i look at it, it is not cheap. there was like balance kit $61, shape kit $144. oh my, i hope it really does work, this items are expensive to my taste.

I'm always very skeptical about the instant lose weight shakes, pills etc. I think classes and a proper diet will help much more.
meal replacement shakes on Jan 06, 2012 @ 03:20 pm
I've never heard of Body by VI but if these are meal replacement shakes, then I have a bit of experience with it.
I've used Slimfast shakes to replace meals when trying to lose weight, and they worked amazingly well for me! Both times in my life I've incorporated this while giving weightloss a serious try, I've lost tons of weight. I went from 163lbs to 109lbs, and slimfast was a huge help in the journey. I usually replaced 1 meal with slimfast and ate low calorie regular meals the rest of the day. The first 3 days was always the hardest, then it got easy as pie :-) Love slimfast!! The only problem is, I like the shakes, I don't like the powder that you gotta make into a shake. Just doesn't taste right. And it's very hard to find the shakes nowadays...

The shakes are the main reason Im concerned about any weight loss diet like this...only because Im very picky when it comes to what I consume, moreso the TASTE!! I dont want to spend a ton of money on something that tastes awful and Im stuck struggling to get through it everyday! LOL
i know what you mean!! on Jan 06, 2012 @ 04:20 pm
That's exactly why I can't stand the slimshake powders that you gotta mix with milk or water to turn into a shake ... tastes GRRROOOSSS..lol Maybe I should invest in a magic bullet and make the shakes using that? perhaps it might taste better? hmm..that's food for thought! lol ;-)
What you can always do is try out samples, for example if you wanted you could just buy one can of slimfast and see which of the flavours you like, and then get a box of that flavour. Does Body By VI offer something like that?
Just tried a sip on Jan 07, 2012 @ 11:23 pm
I just came from a Wedding Show, and Body By Vi was there serving samples. They had mixed it with orange juice - vanilla flavored powder, I think. It wasn't bad; I wouldn't say it was delicious, but I could see myself being able to handle it. I'm really picky about drink powders too. It took me forever to find a protein powder I could stand the taste of.
My friend tried it too and really liked it. I would consider trying the program, but like you I'm trying to find some reviews and personal experiences with it all if the people at the booth today had their own success stories, but who knows how factual they are...
I think as the wedding gets closer my friend and I will give it a try. I'll definitely post a review if I do!!

I have tired it and this is my experience. It is a 90 day challenge for weight loss. It works in my first 60 days I lost 20 lbs and am still losing. The shake is once a day and contains all the vitamins and minerals required for a healthy body. It comes with a scientific background and tastes like a cake mix, No grit which I think is great. You can mix your shake with milk. juice, yogurt, water. The shake seems to be good for your body as you feel great when taking them.
It is it only 1 or 2 shakes shakes a day.You have a great meal for dinner so you never feel hungry or deprived.
Just thought I would let you know that this was and currently is my experience. I am losing weight and getting the product for free. What more could you ask for.
low calorie diets on Jul 16, 2012 @ 07:41 pm
I have never tried any diets or meal replaements. Weight loss is all about calories in vs. calories out. Most people loose weight on low calorie diets, but it's not a lifestyle change. You may find that when you start eating regularly you'll put the weight back on. I personally enjoy food, so won't give them up for meal replacements, instead I concentrate on reducing my calories by eating healthier and increasing my work out. If you want to tone down, try adding weights to your work out. It'll help build a leaner leaner frame. More muscles = burning more fat! I was once 225lbs, went down to 150lbs in one year, I've kept it off for more than 10 years and going and I've yet to deprive myself of good food.

I truly believe that losing weight is 70% diet and 30% exercise
There is no magic answer, short cuts and fads like meal replacement/shakes etc are only a short term answer
