Forgive me if this has been posted elsewhere, I'm still fairly new to CA and couldn't figure out how to search the forums for posted threads. I am quickly falling in love with this community, so many common interests and a lot of like minded ladies! It's wonderful.
I thought it would be fun to see if there are any with something else in common with me; does anyone on here have either Crohn's or UC? I'd love to find some chicks to chat with about the awfulness that is IBD. I have Crohn's Disease, and have been flaring for 2 years.

My former doctor diagnosed me with IBS a few years ago, but nothing worked and he put off getting me to a GI doctor. So, now I've got a new family doctor that actually listens and thinks it's not IBS. I have a lot of terrible stomach pain and bloating and stay nauseated. Some days, my bowels are going 10-15 times daily while other days, I'm constipated for a week. I had my gallbladder out in 07 and this is when my problems started. I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy on the 30th and I'm hoping my surgeon finds what's wrong. I also have begun to bleed every so often and it's scary not knowing what's wrong in your body. My gut hurts around my belly button, under my belly button and lower down. I had a complete hysterectomy 5 years ago and I had scar tissue afterwards. I'm just wondering if the scar tissue has grown into my intestines or colon. I hope it gets straightened out. This is an awful problem to live with on a daily basis.
