I am currently a smoker and have recently purchased an electronic cigarette. I know better to look up product reviews before buying but I didn't.
I have tried to quit smoking many times with no success. I have even been hypnotized.
Have you or anyone else tried electronic cigarettes and what is your take on them?

and haven't tried e cigs, so I cant say how effective they are as a quitting tool. I do know my husband had great success quitting with a prescription pill called Zyban. Maybe ask your Doctor about that?

Not too sure about e cigs. Apparently they still have negative health effects. I think weaning and replacing habits is the way to go.

I have been using mine for a couple of days now. Not using it very often at all actually. In the past three days I've had 5 cigarettes (I know it's gross but I usually have 20 in a single day). It may not sounds like much of an accomplishment but to me it is. :)

No - that's sounds like a great accomplishment. Even cutting back helps.

I also have not tried the E Cigarette and I don't know anyone who has personally. My Sister quit smoking 2 months ago using Champtix It really worked for her.She said every now and then she gets the craving but,it passes off in a little while.I've used Zyban and it was a nightmare for me.I couldn't sleep and when I did ,I would have Terror dreams. The only thing that ever worked for me was the Patch.I quit smoking for almost three months.I took up smoking again while out to a party with some friends, stupid mistake.I'm going back on the patch again this week-end and hopefully this time I'll stay off the Dirty old Cigarettes for good.
